With an objective of attracting masses towards Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Bajaj Avenger 220, the second largest auto manufacturing company Bajaj Auto has announced the sale of both the vehicles throughout all the dealers across the country. Earlier the sale of both Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Bajaj Avenger 220 was restricted only to Pro Biking dealers but with change in the marketing strategy from Bajaj auto has open the gates of sale for all the dealers to sale both the two wheelers without any restrictions by company. Thus, making these motorcycles available from different Bajaj dealers within the country.
Removal of the restriction from Pro Biking dealers may be the part of Bajaj’s strategy to increase its overall sales to 5 million units per year. But one thing which seems to be profitable for the consumers is that now they can get their Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Bajaj Avenger 220 serviced by any of the Bajaj’s service centre that was earlier prohibited to Pro biking dealers. That means now the service and spare parts of both Pulsar 220 and Avenger 220 will also be easily accessible by all the dealers. However according to the owners of Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Bajaj Avenger 220 the Pro Biking dealer are better capable to take care of after sale service of these bikes as compared to normal dealers of Bajaj Auto’s.
This may be because the mechanics at Pro Biking dealers are trained exclusively for service of such specific bikes by the company. Though going through the mechanism and design of Bajaj Pulsar 220 and Bajaj Avenger 220, the mechanism of other Bajaj Pulsar series of bikes i.e., Bajaj Pulsar 150 or Bajaj Pulsar 180 is almost same, and therefore a mechanic who is competent to service these bikes can easily handle the Pulsar 220 and Avenger 220 bikes without any problem. So this shift in marketing strategy from Bajaj Auto is really an appreciating step.
