Here’s what’s new on the popular bike’s 2021 iteration
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F has been around for a while now but it has only received slight cosmetic changes in all these years. For 2021, the bike gets another minor update, in the form of a revised instrument console.
Though the bike retains the analogue tachometer and the digital speedometer, it now shows fuel economy as well as distance-to-empty. The layout too has been slightly tweaked to accommodate the new information, with the fuel indicator moved to the bottom of the screen and the odometer right above it. Overall, the layout is crisp and the console looks thoroughly modern. Surprisingly, Bajaj has chosen not to add a gear position indicator to the bike. Lastly, the speedometer cable is now connected to the rear wheel.

No mechanical changes have been made to the bike. It continues to be powered by the same fuel-injected 220cc single-cylinder engine producing 20.4PS at 8,500rpm and 18.55Nm at 7,000rpm.
Currently priced at Rs 1.25 lakh, the Pulsar 220F recently received a price hike along with the rest of the Pulsar lineup. Despite sporting the same design for the last 14 years, the 220F continues to rake in good sales for the brand. However, given how TVS has upped the ante with the latest Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj should consider giving the bike an overhaul too.
