While the new paint option was introduced a little while ago, it has been updated in Bajaj’s official site only now
- This colour version appears to have a matte red finish on the bodywork with light red and black stickers.
- With the introduction of the new colour, the bike is available in a total of three shades.
- Apart from this, the Pulsar 220F’s mechanicals remain unchanged.
Bajaj Auto has added a new paint option for its popular motorcycle, the Pulsar 220F, on its website. Called Volcanic Red, the new colour scheme appears to have a matte finish, and the bike gets light red and black stickers as well. Plus, the bike also gets colour coded rim tapes to complete the snazzy look. Interestingly, Bajaj says that the colour was introduced a few months ago, but as per a few dealers, the bike was introduced only a few weeks ago. That said, the new colour option was added to Bajaj’s website only now. Priced at Rs 1,07,027 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Volcanic Red option costs the same as the other colour variants (black-red and black-blue).
Apart from the new colour, the mechanicals have remained unchanged. The bike draws power from a 220cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with oil cooler. It generates 20.93PS at 8500rpm and 18.55Nm at 7000rpm. The motorcycle comes with a telescopic fork and twin Nitrox shock absorbers. Brakes include 260mm front and 230mm rear discs with a single-channel ABS offered as standard.
Bajaj had recently hiked the prices of its motorcycles and you can read all about it here. In a related development, Bajaj is all set to launch the Pulsar 125 by the end of this month. It will be Bajaj’s most affordable Pulsar yet. Head here for more information about the upcoming bike.
