Some days back, we had shared spy shots of a Bajaj motorcycle that came across as a hybrid of two bikes - Pulsar and Avenger. Now, we have come across more images of the same and the latest images reveal more interesting details about this mystery machine. The motorcycle captured undergoing testing does not appear to be the production ready model due to its highly disagreeable body design - the front and rear desgin seem to be out of sync.

There has been much speculation about Bajaj working on an altogether different commuter brand that will continue to exist alongside its popular Discover range. After these images went viral over the web, this rumour seems to be taking shape. If some reports are to be believed, the bike under Bajaj’s fresh commuter range will come powered by an engine in the displacement range between 125cc to 150cc. The bike might get multiple variants, a strategy that has worked well for the company in its other model ranges.

However, from the spy images, the unresolved design suggests that this may be a working prototype and not the final design. It appears that the front has been lifted straight off the third generation of the Pulsar range. This may have been done by the company to conceal the final aesthetic details till the time of launch. The rear meanwhile, borrows cues from the Avenger, and looks like it is from a different motorcycle.

Another possibility is that the motorcycle may bring an amalgamation or ‘hybrid design’ of two different motorcycle classes not seen before on our roads. In either case, there is a healthy possibility that the bike under process will belong to the commuter family that seems evident from its large fuel tank, easy-to-grip rear body grab rail and wider tyres. Besides, the bike receives an all-new exhaust that has been designed especially for this machine.

With the Auto Expo just around the corner, we can expect the bike to make its Indian debut at the event and hope Bajaj has a good surprise in store for its buyers. Stay tuned for more updates!
