DSK-Benelli is all set to launch its smallest displacement motorcycle Benelli TNT 25 tomorrow. Similar to other Benelli Motorcycles, it will be assembled locally in DSK Motowheels factory, Maharashtra. The bike is positioned as an entry-level performance motorcycle. First showcased in 2015 India Bike Week, it was again premiered in 2015 EICMA. The company has placed it below TNT300 and will be the company’s most affordable offering. With the launch of TNT25, Benelli is eyeing to compete against Mahindra Mojo 300 and KTM Duke 390.
It will be the company’s only single-cylinder motorcycle. Built on a exposed trellis frame, this quarter-litre machine draws its visual appeal from its bigger siblings and features many street fighter like characteristics including exposed body frame, minimal bodywork and a sculpted fuel tank. The overall design of the motorcycle is well balanced and sporty. The Italian automaker has not compromised on the comfort as well and offered it with inverted telescopic forks at the front and mono shock absorber at the rear. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels and gets a 280mm disc up front and 240mm disc at the rear end. Both front and rear wheels boast single-disc brakes.

The newly built power plant of the motorcycle is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox having Electronic Fuel Injection System (EFI) and can attain a top speed of 145 kmph.
Considering the features it offers, the bike is expected to be priced somewhere around 2-2.5Lac (ex-showroom). With the launch of smaller displacement motorcycles like TNT 25, Benelli is trying to increase its market presence in the country. Presently, Benelli offers five motorcycles in India and this will the company’s sixth offering.
