Benelli unveils BX250 at 2016 Auto Expo

Riding high on the success which DSK Benelli had in the year 2015 in the Indian market, it has displayed its lineup for the New Year at Auto Expo 2016. At the show, the Italian automaker has showcased four new products that it is planning to launch for the Indian market. The lineup includes the BX 250 Motard along with TNT Naked T-135, Tornado 300 full-faired motorcycle and the TRK 502 adventure tourer.
Among these four, Motard 250 or BX 250 is a dirt bike and if launched will create a segment of its own and it has been unveiled here to gauge the public response. Targeted towards young riders and it is expected to attract the dirt wading enthusiasts in the country. Powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine, the slender looking bike can churn out 25bhp of power at 9000rpm and 21Nm of torque at 7000rpm and the engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox sending power to the rear wheel.
Coming to the visual appearance, it features minimal bodywork and comes with high-mounted seat along with diminutive headlamp and taillight.
As for the suspension set up it has a 50 mm long travel USD front fork and an adjustable rear mono shock handle and for braking the bike is equipped with a 280 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc.
