Bhavish Aggarwal Confirms Ola Electric Bike; Sports Bike Incoming?

Details about the e-bike are likely to be announced sometime in Holi 2023

After having added an affordable electric scooter in its lineup a couple of months ago, Ola Electric has officially announced the arrival of a new electric motorcycle. This comes a couple of weeks after the company’s CEO Bhavish Aggarwal revealed its bikemaking intentions.

He has now taken to twitter to hint towards the same, with a motorcycle emoji. This was then followed by conducting a poll in which he asked the users about the type of motorcycle they prefer. Out of the list, the ‘Sports’ category got the maximum votes.

While Aggarwal did not let out any more details about the electric bike, we could expect the upcoming bike to get the same tech as its scooters. The Bengaluru-based EV maker is hence, looking to diversify and introduce multiple electric offerings, all at the same time. Expect Ola’s first e-bike to offer performance comparable to 125-150cc petrol-powered motorcycles, and could be priced at around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Further details about the bike could be revealed sometime in early 2023.
