The soon to be held Goodwood Festival of Speed will be the stage for the global public debut of the truly fantastic Bienville Legacy motorcycle. This will be one of the most powerful 4-cylinder production motorcycle ever built. The festival will take place on 25-28 June this summer. Born in the Bienville Studios in New Orleans, Louisiana, the JT Nesbitt-designed Legacy took more than three years for development. When it comes out on the roads, it will be one of the finest examples of two-wheeled design.
Bienville Legacy has a patented suspension leveraging one composite leaf-spring with the engine mounted in the middle. Carbon-composite blades allow for rake and trail adjustment for the first time on a production motorcycle. Three concept examples have been produced till date which features an exquisite bill of materials in titanium, carbon fibre, leather, and mahogany wood.
The engine powering this wonderful machine is an American-built 1,650cc Motus V4 unit. The production models get a supercharger thrown in for good measure and will generate nearly 300bhp of enormous power. The Legacy will be ridden up the iconic 1.85km Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb by Jim Jacoby and Scott Miller. Both founded the ADMCi Foundation which has supported the Legacy project from its inception.
