Big Pulsar to be launched before end of 2011

The new big Bajaj Pulsar to be launched before the end of 2011, as per Rajiv Bajaj- CMD of Bajaj Auto. He said that the new Pulsar will be launched before the end of 2011 and will be delivered in 2012. The new Bajaj Pulsar will be loaded with 250cc engine, but the company has not mentioned the engine cc.

Bajaj Auto has two flagship bike models in India such as Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Discover. Both the models are available in different engine variants. The company has Bajaj Pulsar 135, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Bajaj Pulsar 180 and Bajaj Pulsar 220 while Bajaj Discover is available in 100cc and 150cc variants.

After the announcement of Honda CBR 250R and TVS Apache 250R, Suzuki GW250 and Mahindra Mojo 300, Bajaj Auto is ready to launch this 250cc engine loaded bike. The bike will come in Pulsar model series and it will be fully re-designed. As per official reports, the new 250cc Pulsar will come out with new body design and it might be similar as Honda CBR 250R.

Right now, Bajaj Pulsar and Discover are the flagship models of Bajaj Auto but now the company is going to launch its former bike model named Bajaj Boxer. This bike will come with re-designed body and 150cc engine while new Pulsar will include KTM technology and will be available with both liquid cooled and air cooled engine variants. At present, Pulsar and Discover are doing well in the market and contributing more than 70 per cent share in sales.
