Bike sales speeds up before Bihar polls

While the Bihar polls are taking fire, the sales of motor bikes is also gearing up. Bihar politicians just cant take a chance in the reason of campaign. Political leaders are trying their luck in 2010 assembly polls and purchasing bikes for the supporters and campaigners. This step is taken in order to have a good hold on the management of its officials and campaigners. Take it as bribe or a technique of management but end of the day the sales are increasing.These polls have got a wind of good luck for the bike makers. The sales have shown a tremendous growth in the time of these elections.

As we all know the Indian political leaders dont make any compromises in the campaigning and keeping to the expectations, the leaders are facilitating its campaigners with bikes at large scale.Hero Honda, the major player in the Bihar two wheeler market with th share of 62% has experienced an unusual growth in the sales of its bikes. The officials disclosed the huge growth in the sales and also commented that the sales figure would have been higher if the supply would have not been interrupted with the CWG. The Games created a little hurdle for the company performance.

"In September, 1,200 bikes were sold from our Patna showroom and 1,300 bikes in August,"A senior executive at Patna's Patliputra Automobiles said.Ashutosh Verma, area manager (Bihar), Hero Honda Motors Limited, said, "September has been one of the best months for Hero Honda in terms of sales. We have been done very good business for the past two months. We sold more than 15,000 bikes in August and 14,000 in September."
