September 2024 was quite an eventful month, and we at BikeDekho had a fun time covering all the launches that took place. We saw everything from new roadsters to updated supersports and more. Here’s our brief overview of everything we saw this month.
2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350
Royal Enfield updated the Classic 350 with new colours and also a couple of features. The bike now gets 4 beautiful retro style colours with chrome finish and 3 modern colours. In terms of features the bike has undergone a couple of changes, including the addition of an LED headlight and pilot lamps. The bike just looks beautiful and comes at a very good price. Jawa 42 FJ
Jawa launched a new roadster this month, called the Jawa 42 FJ. Compared to the other bikes in their lineup, the Jawa 42 FJ comes with a modern design and a bit of practical bits like upswept exhausts. The bike starts at a price of Rs 1,99,142 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is offered in 5 colours. In terms of performance, it features an updated 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Alpha2 engine, same as the one on the Jawa 350. Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202
The Bajaj Chetak Blue 3202, a new variant of the Bajaj Chetak was launched this month. It has replaced the Urbane variant which was offered earlier, but with a few changes. The e-scooter gets the same 3.2kWh battery as the Urbane variant, but with more efficient cells that have helped increase the claimed range from 127km to 137km. And the best part is, this variant is more affordable than the Chetak Urbane!
Hero Splendor Xtec Disc Variant
Hero this week launched the Splendor Xtec Disc variant at a price of Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom), which is around Rs 3,550 more expensive than the drum variant. The disc variant of the bike offers a 240mm disc at the front, but misses out on single-channel ABS. Additionally, Hero has also offered a new colour scheme for the Hero Splendor Xtec called Pearl Fadeless, a white finish.
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V
Hero updated the Hero Xtreme 160R 2V and now the bike comes with new features. The instrument console now offers a drag race timer with 2 modes: D1 & D2. The D1 mode measures the bike's 0-60kmph acceleration time and the D2 mode offers a quarter-mile (0-402m) acceleration timing. As part of the update, Hero has removed the multiple variants and it is now only available in one variant. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the variants.
2024 Yamaha R15M
The Yamaha R15M has been updated with a new colour scheme and a bunch of different features. The bike now comes, with a brand new colour scheme called ‘Icon Performance’ which brings a carbon fibre finish as well. Along with this, the MotoGP edition of the R15 has got a slight update for 2024 as well.
Coming to the features, now the bike comes with a revised console that offers turn-by-turn navigation and music controls. But the new Icon Performance colour scheme is offered at an very high price!
2024 TVS Apache RR 310
TVS surprised us all by launching the updated Apache RR 310 and the bike has now undergone a lot of changes. It now comes with fairing mounted winglets, an updated engine which offers more power. Along with this, the bike has now received a new variant with a quickshifter as standard. A lot of features that were offered on the TVS Apache RTR 310 have also been carried forward to the TVS Apache RR 310, but to unlock them all you’ll have to get the Built-To-Order kits. Triumph Speed T4 And Triumph Speed 400 MY25
Triumph launched the Speed T4 at a price of Rs 2,17,000 (ex-showroom). The bike features a similar silhouette as the Speed 400, but comes with a few changes such as a conventional telescopic fork along with some changes in the colours and graphics. The bike is powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine which makes 31PS and 36Nm. Along with this, the brand also launched the MY25 Speed 400 at Rs 2,40,000 (ex-showroom). The bike features new colours and a lot of other updates as well.
BMW F 900 GS And F 900 GS Adventure
BWM launched the F 900 GS and the F 900 GS Adventure in India, at a price of Rs 13,75,000 and Rs 14,75,000 (ex-showroom), respectively. These replace the BMW F 850 GS and the F 850 GS Adventure.
The F 900 GS and the F 900 GS Adventure, when compared to their predecessors, are more expensive by Rs 80,000 and Rs 1,00,000 respectively. Both the bikes feature a larger 895cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine which produces 105PS and 93Nm. Which is 10PS and 1Nm more than what the F 850 GS’ engine produces.
Revolt RV1
The Revolt RV1 is the most affordable electric bike from Revolt. It was launched this month, starting at a price of Rs Rs 84,990 (ex-showroom). The bike features a typical commuter bike design, with its round headlight, wide handlebars and long single-piece seat. The bike is powered by a 2.8kW mid-mounted motor which offers a claimed top speed of 75kmph. It is offered in 2 variants and is aimed at the commuter electric bike segment. TVS Raider 125 Drum Brake Variant
TVS launched a more affordable variant of the TVS Raider 125, at Rs 84,869 (ex-showroom). This variant features a single piece seat and looks similar to the single seat variant. It is offered in two colours: Striking Red and Wicked Black. In terms of features, it is similar to the single seat variant and gets the same LCD instrument console. It misses out on features such as smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
Zelio Ebikes Mystery E-scooter
Zelio EBikes launched their newest e-scooter offering, the Mystery, in India. It comes at a price Rs 81,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The e-scooter is powered by a hub-mounted motor which offers a claimed top speed of 70kmph. The battery pack used on this e-scooter has a claimed range of 100kmph. The battery pack takes 4-5 hours to charge from 0-100 percent.
TVS Ronin New Colour
TVS also launched a new colour scheme for the Ronin, called Midnight Blue. It features a similar design and styling as the Ronin’s Grey colour scheme offered on the top-of-the-line TD Special Edition variant. The Midnight Blue offers a similar triple tone finish, but with blue, fluorescent yellow and dark grey. Take a closer look at the colour here.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Tubeless Spoke Wheels
Royal Enfield this month surprised us by launching tubeless spoke wheels for the Himalayan 450. Back when the bike was first launched, this was only available internationally and exclusively available on the Hanle Black colour scheme. Now the same has been brought to India, with customers having the option to pay a premium of Rs 11,000 to get the tubeless spoke wheel when purchasing a Himalayan. Existing customers can also get the tubeless spoke wheels fitted on their Himalayan by paying a premium of Rs 12,424.
TVS Radeon New All Black Colour
TVS launched a new colour of the Radeon commuter bike, this new colour scheme offers a full black finish for the bike. But what makes it stand apart is the grab rail, exhaust, bend pipe, rear shocks and headlight cover are all blacked out. The colour scheme is offered on the base variant of the TVS Radeon and comes at a price of Rs 59,880 (ex-showroom) making it Rs 2,525 cheaper than before.
