The year 2010 has been a great for every industry, especially the automobile sector seen tremendous growth and attracted a large number of international and domestic players. The largest growing Indian auto market remains the hot spot for any automobile company either its an global brand or a local one. The two-wheelers launch include Sports, Cruiser, Commuter and entry-level sports bikes. India is the worlds second largest big two wheeler market and international two wheeler maker company's are taking interest to enter here and big key player from USA, Europe, Japan, Korea, Austria, Italy, Germany and Australia had either launched or announced their bikes in India in the year 2010.
We bring you the major happening in the Indian two-wheeler sector.
The year started with a sweet note as world's largest auto show was held in the national capital in Jan; there after two-wheelers were launched from domestic and international auto manufacturers. Hero Honda, the largest two-wheeler maker of India, hadn't launch any new bike but brought some revamped motorcycles including Hero Honda Splendor Pro, Hero Honda Hunk, Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme and Hero Honda Super Splendor. The second largest two-wheeler firm, Bajaj Auto launched Bajaj Platina 125, Bajaj Discover 150 and Bajaj Avenger 220; it also made minimal changes in its popular bikes as well.
TVS unveiled the new variant of TVS Apache RTR 160R and re-launched TVS Max 4R. The new entrant Mahindra two wheeler launched the commuter Mahindra Stallio. West Bengal based Vibgyor has introduced Vibgyor Shark and Hunter. Mahindra Mojo 300cc, Honda CBR 250R, TVS Rockz, TVS Velocity, Bajaj Sonic have also been announced in the year 2010 only.
Honda two wheelers, which is the worlds largest two wheeler manufactures, had launched Honda CB Twister, Honda CB Dazzler and Honda VFR 1200F. On the other hand, Suzuki launched Suzuki Slingshot, Suzuki GSXR and Suzuki Bandit in the country. Yamaha India also added some bikes in its India portfolio with the launch of Yamaha SZ, Yamaha SS, Yamaha YBR and Yamaha FZ 1.
The USA based Harley Davidson which is known for cult bikes has launched its 12 new bikes in India; it also announce the launch of Harley Davidson Superlow
Harley Davidson Iron 883 at the end of the year. Austria based KTM had announced to launch it's most popular off-road bikes while Italian Ducati had launched five new bikes and announced heavy cruiser Ducati Diavel that will land in March, 2011. The world's number 4 bike maker Aprilia also has announced to launch two bikes in India. BMW Motorrad had also announced its cruiser and super sports bikes (K, R and S series bikes) for Indian market. Korea based Hyosung has entered with announcement of Hyosung GT 650R, Hyosung GT 650 and Hyosung ST7. The Japan based Kawasaki which well known for power bikes unveiled New Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
