2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: What’s New?
The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is now updated with new features which it gets from the recently updated Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The updated 2V now comes with a new Drag Race Timer with a D1 mode that provides a 0 to 60kmph acceleration timing and a D2 mode that provides a quarter mile (0 to 402m) acceleration timing.
The new Xtreme 160R 2V also gets the similar-looking sleeker and sharper LED tail light from the 4V. The taillight features a signature “H” design, representing the new-age Hero line-up, which has become a new signature for the manufacturer. We also saw H-shaped DRLs (daytime running lights) in the recently unveiled 2024 Hero Destini 125.
The bike also features a new flatter and lowered pillion seat, for better pillion comfort. It has chunky grab rails for the pillion to hold on to. Moreover, the Xtreme 160R 2V is now fitted with a 276mm petal disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear, with single-channel ABS as standard.
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: What’s Unchanged?
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V remains the same in terms of engine and underpinnings. It also gets the same full-LCD instrument console as before. The Xtreme 160R 2V is powered by the same 163cc, 2-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 15.2PS and 14Nm, paired with a 5-speed transmission.
The Hero Xtreme 160R comes with a 37mm telescopic fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with 100-section and 130-section radial tyres. The bike has a 790mm seat height, 167mm ground clearance and a 12-litre fuel tank capacity.
The Hero Xtreme 160R goes up against the other 150-160cc premium commuter motorcycles including the Bajaj Pulsar N150, TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda SP160 and Yamaha FZS-FI V3.
BikeDekho Says:
The new Hero Xtreme 160R 2V, being over Rs 10k cheaper than the outgoing single-disc variant, has become more accessible for customers. On the other hand, being available in only a single variant with only one colour option doesn’t give you any options to choose from. And if you want more colour variants or dual disc brakes, then you will have to go for the more expensive Xtreme 160R 4V.
