Kawasaki has launched the new 2025 Ninja ZX-4R and the Ninja ZX4-RR in India. The Ninja ZX-4R has remained the same as before without any changes or upgrades, but the Ninja ZX-4RR has been updated with a new triple-tone Lime Green / Ebony / Pearl Blizzard White colour scheme.
Price and Rivals
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is now Rs 30,000 more expensive and is now available for Rs 8,79,000. The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR, on the other hand, received a price hike of Rs 32,000 and now costs Rs 9,42,000 (both prices ex-showroom). Being a 400cc inline-four bike, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R and Ninja ZX-4RR do not have any direct competitors in the Indian market. But, for a similar price, you can get the new Triumph Daytona 660 and the Suzuki GSX-8R.
Here’s what both bikes get:
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a BS6.2 compliant 399cc, inline four-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum output of 75PS at 14,500rpm and 37.6Nm at 12,500rpm. However, with RAM air intake, the power increases by 2PS more than 77PS. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The more powerful Ninja ZX-4RR also has the same engine but makes more power and torque. It produces 77PS at 14,500 and 39Nm at 13,000, RAM air intake increases the power to 80PS. It additionally gets a bi-directional quickshifter as well.
Featurewise, both bikes come equipped with a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki's Rideology app. They also have 2 different display modes (Normal and Circuit), and have four ride modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (customisable).
The Ninja ZX-4R gets a 37mm inverted fork with 120mm wheel travel and a monoshock with a 112mm wheel travel. The Ninja ZX-4RR gets a more premium 37mm Showa inverted fork and a Showa monoshock at the rear. For braking, both bikes use 290mm dual-front discs at the front and a 220mm disc brake at the rear. The Ninja ZX-4R and Ninja ZX-4RR are equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, which are fitted with 120-section front and 160-section rear tyres.
Both bikes have the same seat height of 800mm, kerb weight of 189kg and a 135mm ground clearance. It has a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres.
