Aprilia has finally debut the Tuono 457 at EICMA 2024, and now we have finally got our first look at this upcoming streetfighter. The Tuono 457 will be the brand’s second bike based on the 457 platform and will share quite a bit in common with the RS 457. Here’s everything you need to know.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 features a typical street fighter design. It gets a bumblebee style twin-LED headlight and DRLs. The bike overall has a muscular look thanks to its massive looking tank and the aggressive graphics and styling.
It comes in two colour schemes, Piranha Red and Puma Grey. Both featuring Aprilia liveries, similar to the one that we have seen on their higher capacity offerings.
Compared to its supersport sibling, the Tuono 457 offers a different riding posture and ergonomics. A wide handlebar, slightly rear-set footpegs and the long single piece seat makes the rider sit more upright.
The Tuono 457 will be powered by the same 457cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine as the Aprilia RS 457. The engine outputs 46.7PS at 9,400rpm and 43.5Nm at 6,700rpm.
The bike is built on a steel tubular frame, and features a suspension setup that consists of an inverted fork and monoshock. The bike gets 17-inch alloys at both ends, with a similar design as the ones used on the RS 457. The braking setup consists of a 320mm disc at the front and 220mm disc at the rear.
In terms of features, the bike has quite a bit to offer. There are 3 riding modes on offer: Eco, Sport and Rain. The riding modes alter the engine’s power delivery and the traction control’s intervention levels to make the bike more suited to riding in different conditions. Other electronic riding aids include traction control, switchable ABS at the rear, and a bi-directional quickshifter.
The Tuono 457 could be launched in India by mid-2025, and be priced close to Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against the Yamaha MT-03 and the KTM 390 Duke.
