The iconic name returns with three electric offerings: an electric pedal assisted bicycle, the Orion, an electric bike-bicycle crossover named Moonshot, and an electric scooter, called the Star
LML has made a comeback in India, although in an electric avatar, by unveiling the Orion electric bicycle, Star electric scooter, and Moonshot electric bike.
The LML Star was a household name back in the 1990s, and now, in its newest avatar, packs a futuristic aesthetic while also being loaded with features. It has a sharp design, with elements like a display panel on the apron, along with a LED headlight and LED DRLs giving it a distinctive look over its contemporaries.
While not much was revealed about the powertrain of the Star, the company has mentioned that the e-scooter might feature swappable battery technology. The LML Star is equipped with an auto on/off headlight, digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity and haptic feedback on the handlebars for navigation. Underpinnings include a telescopic fork, while braking duties are shared between disc brakes at both ends.
The LML Moonshot is a completely unique offering, packing a supermoto inspired design with a flat bench-style seat, miniscule beak, upright handlebar, a flat LED headlight and more importantly, pedals. While the powertrain details were not disclosed, this e-bike offers two ride modes: throttle-only and pedal assist. This too gets a swappable battery pack
The LML Orion sports a traditional electric bicycle design, however, is claimed to offer a plethora of features like a IP67 rated battery pack, smart telematics, inbuilt GPS, pedal assist, GoPro mounts, smart storage pockets all fused into a hydroformed 6061 alloy frame.
The company intends to launch the Orion in the US and European markets by the first half of 2023, followed by the launch of the Moonshot and Star in India by the second half of 2023. LML also plans to establish a dealership in every district of India in the next three to five years.
