BS6 CFMoto 650NK Teased Ahead Of India Launch

It will be CFMoto’s second BS6 offering in India

About a month ago, we brought you the exclusive news that CFMoto was on its way to expand its BS6 lineup in India with the 650NK, 650MT and 650GT. Now, the Chinese bikemaker has teased the BS6 650NK on Instagram. The post just says “Get Riding Soon” and “650NK BS6 Compliant,” so not a lot is known at the moment but the brand could be launching the bike in the next month.

The 650NK is CFMoto’s mid-capacity naked streetfighter offering, serving as an upgrade to its entry-level naked, the 300NK. Back in BS4 times, the 650NK was one of the most affordable “big bikes” in India as it came at a striking price tag of Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, for 2021, expect this price to go up slightly, to about Rs 4.50 lakh, which would still make it an excellent proposition. What all will it offer for the price, you ask?

To begin with, standout styling and decent feature list. The 650NK will retain its likeable and front-heavy appearance, topped off by its striking LED headlamp. On the features front, the 650NK already came with full LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, a hazard light switch, adjustable levers, and dual-channel ABS. Expect all these to be carried forward.

Powering the updated 650NK will be the same 649.3cc parallel-twin motor tweaked to meet BS6 norms. The power figures are expected to remain similar to before, about 61PS and 56Nm.

When launched, the 650NK will be a direct rival to the Kawasaki Z650, also giving fierce competition to the freshly launched Triumph Trident 660.
