BSA launched e-scooters in India

BSA Motors recently launched its electric scooters in India. The scooters are-BSA Smile, BSA Diva and BSA Street Rider at the bottom of the range. The motors used in the e-scooters are 250W, 500W and 800 W respectively. And at the high end, there are Roamer and Roamer+ models from the company. The bottom end scooter's range starts from Rs 25,600 (ex-showroom, Pune). These scooters are aimed at housewives and working professionals, and can carry two comfortably. BSA has opened a brand new 300-million rupee plant at Ambattur near Chennai built specifically for assembling e-scooters. The plant has an initial production capacity of 150 scooters a day, which can be ramped up to 300 vehicles per day.
