BSA Street Rider launched

BSA Motors, part of the USD three billion Murugappa Group, has launched its electric scooter, 'BSA Street Rider' at Chennai. The electric scooter was first unveiled at the 'IITF Expo' in New Delhi last year. According to the company release 250 units of the vehicle has been already booked since its launch. The vehicle has come with a price tag of Rs 28,050 (ex-showroom Chennai). The launch was graced by the presence of tennis ace Mahesh Bhupati. BSA Street Riders is not the first electric from its side but it also manufactures electric scooters like BSA Smile, BSA Diva, BSA Roamer and BSA Roamer Plus. The release also claimed that BSA Motors electric scooters have an efficiency of 82-85 per cent in comparison to petrol run vehicles which have an efficiency of 35-38 per cent.
