The California Superbike School (CSS) that has trained thousands of riders since 1980 has just announced its dates for 2016 season, which is going to be held in India. The school aims at the betterment of riding techniques rather than focussing on racing perspective. This year’s season has been divided into two batches of which the first one is scheduled from February 5 to February 7, 2016 while the second will be held from February 12 to Feb 14, 2016. These will include a combination of both, theory classes and on-track practice sessions.
Interested riders can register through the CSS official website that can be accessed here. Participants can bring their own motorcycles, and may also optionally avail one of the spare bikes from the school. It is mandatory, however, to bring your own riding and safety gear. Spare gear can also be taken from the school, but is available in limited numbers. The fee for the full three-day session is Rs. 66,000 that includes 14.5% service tax, insurance cover, food and fuel.
Out of three days, day one will target on getting the basics right for the riders, primarily on throttle control and some other skills. Day two will aim at developing these skills and work on factors related to vision. This will eventually help in enhancing the riding skills and refining the ride. Lastly, the concluding day will focus on other physical factors like body posture on bike, riding position, etc.
California Superbike School (CSS) was founded back in 1980 by Keith Code, who has trained a number of riders including Wayne Rooney and WSBK champions James Toseland & John Kocinski. Till date, Code along with his team of ex-racers and experienced riders have trained over 1,50,000 riders in 27 countries. The School was brought to India by businessman and racing enthusiast Siddarth Trivellore and director, Vidiem. The registrations for 2016 season have already started at the CSS official website and will run till 27th January, 2016. The seats are limited and participants need to hurry to ensure their participation in the event.
