CB125F: Honda May Reveal New Commuter Bike at 2016 Auto Expo

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI ) is gearing up to showcase its new 125cc commuter machine at the upcoming Auto Expo. It will be known as Honda CB125F and will take the place of CB Stunner, which was discontinued from the Indian market. Now, the new 125cc commuter motorcycle will be the flagship model in the 125cc segment for the company. Honda CB125F is expected to be launched in India by mid-2016. It will be priced at somewhere between Rs. 65, 000 to 70, 000 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The bike will lock horns with Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Discover 150S.
Honda CB125F will be powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, OHC single with a balancer shaft that is mated to 5-speed transmission. The engine configuration is same as its International version, which is already available for sale in the International market. The motor will generate 10.46 bhp of power at 7750 rpm and a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 6250 rpm. The company might use the 125cc motor from its recently launched Honda CB Shine SP for the domestic market.
The design cues of the bike are same as Honda Livo that is already on sale in the market. CB125F will be fitted with a multi-spoke alloy wheels and carved fuel tank with neatly crafted tank shrouds. It will also feature a twin-pod analog instrument cluster. The braking system is expected to be equipped with 240mm disc brake with a dual-piston caliper at the front and 130mm drum brake at the rear. It will also be loaded with 120mm telescopic fork up front and Dual rear shocks with 5-step spring preload adjustment at the rear.
Recently, the company has introduced some optional sporty graphics for its commuter range that includes CB Unicorn 160R, Livo and CB Hornet 160R and it will cost Rs. 700. This facility is not only for new bikes rather even existing customers can buy them at the same price.
