Update: We have ridden the CFMoto 650Nk. Read the road test review here.
[UPDATE: CFMoto has made its India debut with the launch of four products: 300NK, 650NK, 650MT & 650GT. Head here for the pricing and other details.]
Will compete with the Kawasaki Z650
- Sports a naked streetfighter design.
- Gets the same engine as the previously spied 650MT.
- Might be brought here as a CKD unit.
It seems like CFMoto is planning to bring its entire portfolio to India. After the 250NK and the 650MT, the 650NK is the latest bike from the Chinese brand that was spied testing on the streets of Hyderabad. So, what are we in for?

When it comes to design, its overall beefy and muscular look might seem similar to the Kawasaki Z650, but the fuel tank and the headlight assembly design do give it a bit of design distinction. In a nutshell, it does look imposing. Compared to the Kawasaki Z650, the feature list here is quite impressive. While both, the 650NK and the Z650 come with LED tail lamps, the latter misses out on LED headlamps and a fully digital instrument cluster, unlike the 650NK.

Powering the 650NK is a 649.3cc parallel-twin engine, which churns out 61PS of power and 56Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. To put things into perspective, the Z650 makes 67PS of power and 65.7Nm of torque. Interestingly enough, both the 650NK and the 650MT use the same engine. However, with a power output of 71PS, it makes 10PS more on the adventure tourer.
From what we can tell, the India-bound bike seems to be similar to the international version. No modifications have been done to keep costs in check. It gets the same telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the back, like the international-spec bike. Braking hardware consists of a twin-disc setup at the front and a single rear disc, along with dual-channel ABS.

According to online reports, Mahavir Group, which had recently relaunched Benelli in India might also bring CFMoto to our market. We expect the 650NK along with its siblings to be brought to India via the CKD route.
