TVS Motor Company has launched the updated 2025 Ronin DS variant at the Motosoul 2024 motorcycle event in Goa. The latest updates are only on the Ronin DS, which is the mid-variant. Meanwhile, the base (SS) and the top (TD) variants will remain the same as before. The mid-variant of Ronin now comes with new colour options and dual-channel ABS as standard.
Here are the Highlights:
The new TVS Ronin DS is now updated with two new colour options, Glacial Silver and Charcoal Ember. The Glacial Silver features a dual-tone dark grey and silver paint scheme which is complemented by yellow stripes and graphics. On the other hand, the Ronin Charcoal Ember, has a dual-tone light grey and dark blue colour scheme with red graphics all around.
The 2025 Ronin DS also features a dual-channel ABS as standard, instead of a single-channel ABS on the 2024 model. This will now provide a better and safer braking experience to the rider, and will also provide more confidence even while panic braking.
Apart from these updates, the TVS Ronin remains unchanged in terms of engine and underpinnings. It continues to be powered by a 225.9cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine which makes 20.4PS and 19.93Nm. It is paired to a 5-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch.
The Ronin comes with LED lights all around and features a fully LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect for call/SMS alerts, phone battery/signal status, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets the TVS Glide-Through-Tech to easily ride through traffic with ease, just by using the clutch.
Expected Price and Launch Date
The updated TVS Ronin DS is expected to launch in January 2025. Currently, the mid variant is priced at Rs 1,56,700, and the updated variant is likely to be priced at a premium of about Rs 5,000 – somewhere at Rs 1.61 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
