The 300GT-E to be purpose built for the Chinese Police
Who would’ve imagined cops patrolling the city on electric purpose-built motorcycles? Well, CFMoto looks to be close to making this a reality. A new patent filing reveals a police-spec of their first ever electric motorcycle called the 300GT-E.
The design of this electric motorcycle resembles a typical American police patroller, and it is powered by a 144-volt unit rated at 10.5kW of continuous power with a peak power of 16.8kW. The motor also offers 54.2Nm of torque, which should offer performance comparable to a 300-400cc motorcycle. CFMoto also claims a top speed of 120kmph and range of 150km from a single charge.
The 300GT-E features three riding modes, which also include a reverse mode. Running on 17-inch alloy wheels, the suspension comprises a USD fork and monoshock. A Bosch dual-channel ABS system adds to the surefootedness of riding the bike.
As this motorcycle is tailor-made for the Chinese Police departments in major cities, it would be equipped with heavy duty equipment like the onboard connectivity system that allows on-the-fly communication and access to police databases. It also features support for cloud-based vehicle status and live location updates with built-in satellite-navigation.
All the above mentioned police-equipment result in the motorcycle to be on the heavier side, tipping the scales at 224kg. It also comes loaded with a 7-inch TFT display and keyless ignition. The patent drawings reveal handlebar mounted switch cubes to toggle between functions.

Previous CFMoto police bikes have spawned civilian equivalents that have been sold internationally. So it would be no surprise to see the 300GT-E that’s seen in this patent appearing under a consumer-oriented naked roadster or faired supersport in the future.
