Yes, the wait is finally over. After months, even years of hype, KTM will finally unveil its 390 Adventure at EICMA 2019 today. The new bike has been spotted testing multiple times, both in Austria as well as India, and there have been many rumours about its specification. Now, we get to see exactly what the bike looks like and also what sort of equipment it will get.
This new model will be unveiled in two colours- the signature KTM orange as well as white. It gets a 19-inch/17-inch front-rear wheel combo suspended on long travel suspension at both ends. While the 390 Adventure will share its 373cc engine with the 390 Duke, we expect the state of tune and gearing to be slightly altered to better suit this bike’s dual-purpose nature. We also expect this engine to comply with Euro 5/BS6 emission norms.
KTM will also be unveiling a smaller 250 Adventure today, based on its 250 Duke. We expect both motorcycles to be launched in our country at the 2019 India Bike Week in December. We hope to see KTM price the 390 Adventure at around Rs 3 lakh, while the 250 Adventure should sell for approximately Rs 2.5 lakh. Once they arrive, they will fill the large void between the Rs 1.81 lakh Royal Enfield Himalayan and the Rs 3.47 lakh BMW G 310 GS. Keep following BikeDekho for more updates as the show progresses.
