- It gets LED DRLs, digital instrument console as well as mobile and smartphone connectivity.
- It will be launched in June this year.
Evolet Motors showcased its Raptor electric scooter at Auto Expo 2020. Along with India’s first electric maxi-scooter, Evolet also displayed its electric portfolio consisting of a faired motorcycle and an ATV. This is the electric maxi-scooter’s second outing since the launch of Evolet’s Polo and Derby electric scooters.
Evolet has got the styling quite right with the Raptor. The maxi-scooter looks larger than the Suzuki Burgman and gets a large windscreen. It gets LED DLRs and a digital instrument console situated in twin circular pods. Evolet says the scooter gets high-tech features like phone connectivity and connected features.
The Evolet Raptor electric maxi-scooter is powered by a 3kW electric motor, which Evolet claims helps the Raptor achieve a top speed of 125kmph! It gets three ride modes as well as a reverse mode. The 40Ah lithium-ion battery pack claims to give the electric maxi-scooter a range of 100km to 250km depending on the ride modes. Considering the size of the scooter these figures do seem optimistic and we would be testing these claims when we test the Raptor.
The Raptor will be launched in June this year. While there is no information on prices, we expect the Raptor electric maxi-scooter to be priced in the range of Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.2 lakh.
