If we are lucky, the bike might also feature a TFT display, making it the first in its class to do so!
Bajaj is going to update the Pulsar N150 with smartphone connectivity features. While we had speculated that the N150 might get updates in the braking department, it seems like the upcoming bike will instead have a more feature-packed instrument cluster. This is because the manufacturer had applied for a trademark named ‘Bajaj Ride Connect’ on January 2, 2024, and it has been approved.
The Pulsar N150 is expected to get similar connectivity features as the Chetak e-scooter (which is also Bajaj’s first product to get connectivity), including call and SMS alerts, music control, ‘find my bike’ feature, and possibly even turn-by-turn navigation.
Bajaj’s teaser on Instagram gives us a glimpse of the instrument console, and it is likely to be an LCD unit to keep the costs competitive. But if we are lucky, the Pulsar N150 might get a colour-LCD or a TFT unit, which would make it the first bike in the 150-160cc category to get one. This will be a welcome addition as for the longest time all Bajaj bikes have lacked connectivity features while the competition kept up with the modern times. With the N150 getting the update soon, expect Bajaj to offer the same feature in the rest of the Pulsar lineup in the next few months.
We expect a Rs 4,000-5,000 hike over the Pulsar N150’s current price of Rs 1,17,677 (ex-showroom Delhi). It will rival the Yamaha FZ-S V3, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R.
