Harley Davidson India participates in Sturgis Motorcycle Rally 2010

It was a wonderful return to home for Harley Davidson India when it participated in the 70th annual Sturgis rally. This rally was organized between 9th to 15th August. This Sturgis rally is held every year in Sturgis, South Dakota, U.S.A. Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, and Sanjay Tripathi, Director of Marketing represented Harley Davidson India. While riding the 2010 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide and hoisting the Indian flag, Sanjay Tripathi, Director of Marketing, Harley-Davidson India said that Harley-Davidson India’s debut at this rally marks an important milestone for them .

The ride along the great American expressways, the breathtaking views of the Badlands, the twists and turns in the Black Hills were all enthralling, to say the least. To be among thousands of Harley enthusiasts with their customized cruisers and tourers was definitely an experience unmatched, added Tripathi. Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India was quoted saying that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is one of the most celebrated biker events in the world, combining scenic and challenging riding routes, bike demos and displays, rock shows and festivities.

The feeling of camaraderie among the thousands of Harley riders is unmatched. They look forward to deliver the rally experience to their customers in India in the months and years to come, said Prakash. Several activities were organized by Harley-Davidson Motor Company for the customers in Sturgis. These activities included test rides and displays of new 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycles, parts and accessories. Some rocking performances were given by the famous bands like Guns N’ Roses, ZZ Top, Motley Crue, Kid Rock, the Scorpions and Bob Dylan during this rally.
