Harley Davidson set up its first outlet in Hyderabad

Harley-Davidson, world's major cruiser motorcycles manufacturer, on yesterday opened its first dealership outlet in Hyderabad in the country. The company's first dealer outlets is named as Banjara Harley-Davidson and will also become a first operational outlet of the USA-based heavyweight bike maker, Harley-Davidson in India. "We will launch our bikes in other cities before the end of this year," said Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India after the outlet was formally inaugurated by Telugu Film star N T Ramarao. Another dealerships of the company which are also going to be established soon in India that includes Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Bangalore. Harley-Davidson already started booking of their all new 12 variants of the massive motorcycles in 883cc to 1800cc range from April 2010. The company displayed all the variants at the 10th anniversary of Delhi Auto Expo 2010 and after few months, the company launched 5 models and 7 variants of this models in the Indian market. The all new models of Harley-Davidson are available between price tag of Rs. 7 to 35 lakh. Prakash said the bike is perfectly suitable for Indian roads due to its weight and ruggedness. On the other hand, Ducati Motors is also debut into the Indian auto market with the launch their new heavy motorcycles, and can expect that Ducati bikes will compete with Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the country.
