While Harley-Davidson’s current outreach may not be as impressive anymore, it still covers almost all the major cities in the country. Now, the American cruiser maker has reorganised its India operations as part of a new business plan, called ‘The Rewire’. Under this strategy, the company intends to primarily focus on developed markets to maximise profits. Hero MotoCorp has said that in addition to the dealerships mentioned above, it would also expand Harley’s service and parts and accessories business to a pan-India level through its dealer network. This should go a long way in securing the sales of upcoming products like the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250

Former Managing Director of Ducati India Ravi Avalur will head the new vertical, his team supported by four executives from Harley’s erstwhile operations in India. While wholesale despatches to the dealerships started from January 18, details of the launch of Harley’s 2021 lineup (recently unveiled globally) in India will be revealed soon.
