Leaked homologation documents of the CFMoto Papio XO-2 give us a clear picture, quite literally
Mini bikes are a delight not just to ride but also to watch, with their quirky styling, case in point is the Honda Monkey. To bring its own quirky flavour to the genre, CFMoto is working on a new Papio mini bike called the XO-2. For the uninitiated, the Papio XO-2 is the retro version of the mini bike that was launched earlier in China.
In terms of appearance, the Papio XO-2 gets a classy retro design language with a somewhat scrambler appeal to it. It gets a raised front fender, and twin bug-eyed headlights (Hello Ducati DesertX!) along with rugged fuel tank extension panels. It gets a simple single-piece saddle along with a commuter-ish grab rail to complete the look.

It is powered by the same 126cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the standard Papio, mated to a six-speed gearbox. It is likely to make the same 9.5PS and 8.3Nm as the standard bike.
Even the underpinnings are unchanged – telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup along with discs at both ends for braking. It runs on 12-inch alloys at both ends, just like the standard Paapio, with the exception of dual-purpose tyres.
Similar to other CFMoto models, this will not be coming to India but is likely to launch in the U.S sometime this year. That said, Honda used to offer the lovely Honda Navi here back in the day, and we hope the Japanese bikemaker brings back the lovely Navi in a modern avatar.
