From 2 new XPulses to a powerful naked and more, here’s what to expect
- Hero is planning on unveiling 4 models at EICMA 2024
- It could include 2 XPulse models & a new streetfighter
- A more affordable variant could also be unvieled
Hero MotoCorp had dropped a teaser on social media recently, giving us a glimpse into what the brand might unveil at EICMA 2024. Judging by the teaser and what we have seen in the past couple of months, we have a decent idea of what to expect.
Going by the teaser, it is clear that the brand will be unveiling 4 upcoming models. We think it could include the Hero XPulse 210, Hero XPulse 400, the Hero Xtreme 210R, and also a more affordable variant of the Hero Vida. Here’s a brief overview of all 4 models.
Hero XPulse 210
The Hero XPulse 200 4V is currently the flagship dual-sport offering from Hero MotoCorp. Since its launch, the bike has managed to carve a niche of its own as an affordable entry-level dual sport. Hero is planning on updating this bike, with the new 210cc liquid-cooled engine from the Hero Karizma XMR.
We recently saw spy shots of the bike being tested in Ladakh, and the images have revealed a few interesting changes. The bike now comes with what appears to be a larger fuel tank and a taller stance overall. The bike retains many design elements that we have seen on the outgoing XPulse, such as the raised front fender and tall visor.
In terms of performance, we can expect the bike to feature the same 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Karizma 210. The engine outputs 25.5PS and 20.4Nm. We expect Hero to make some changes to make it more suited for offroad riding.
We expect the bike to be launched sometime in early 2025, with an expected price of around Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against other ADVs in the market such as the Suzuki VStrom SX and the KTM 250 Adventure.
Hero XPulse 400
Coming to the Hero XPulse 400, judging by the images we have seen, it is clear that the bike will be much larger in terms of dimensions. It features a fatter-looking tank and tail section when compared to the XPulse 210.
The bike could be powered by the same 440cc, air, and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Hero Mavrick 440. But the XPulse 400 will feature a larger rear sprocket, as evident by the spy shot. This will offer more bottom-end torque, making the bike more suited to handling off-road challenges. The Mavrick 440’s engine produces 27PS and 36Nm.
The Hero XPulse 400 could be launched sometime in mid-2025, with an expected ex-showroom price of around Rs 2.4 lakh. With the discontinuation of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, there isn’t an accessible entry-level ADV with a long-stroke engine in the 400cc segment. The XPulse 400 could easily fill in that gap.
Hero Xtreme 210R
The Hero Xtreme 210R is an upcoming street naked, which will feature the same engine as the Hero Karizma XMR and the upcoming XPulse 210.
The Xtreme 210R’s design patent was recently revealed and judging by the design patent, the upcoming bike will feature an aggressive streetfighter design, which is in line with what we have already seen on the Hero Xtreme lineup. The bike could come at an expected price of Rs 1.7lakh (ex-showroom), and could be launched by the end of this year.
More Affordable Hero Vida Variant
Hero will likely unveil a new Vida electric scooter this EICMA, as evident by the fact that the teaser shared had Hero Vida’s page tagged as well. The brand had recently announced that it would be launching more mass-market products during an earnings call.

We expect the brand to unveil an affordable Vida electric scooter, something which could be priced under 1 lakh. Currently, the affordable electric scooter market is one segment in which Hero does not have a presence. With this new Vida e-scooter, the brand will be able to have a presence in this one. We can expect the scooter to be launched sometime by the start of 2025.
