Looks like the patented bike shares a lot of parts with the Hero Karizma XMR
Quick News Highlights:
- The Xtreme 210R is expected to get the same 210cc engine from the Karizma XMR.
- It also shares many components with the faired bike, including the fuel tank, tail section, frame, and exhaust.
- Likely to be showcased at the EICMA 2024, in Milan, Italy
Recently, a new design patent for a naked bike from Hero MotoCorp surfaced online. It looks like a bigger version of the Xtreme 160R. While there are rumours of it being a 250cc bike, we think that it will be a naked version of the Hero Karizma XMR with the same 210cc liquid-cooled engine.
The patent images reveal that the upcoming Hero Xtreme 210R has a muscular and sporty streetfighter design. At the front, it has a sleek LED headlight and indicators, along with an LED tail light. It has a single-piece handlebar and an LCD console. The bike has an inverted fork and a monoshock at the rear.
Moreover, the patented bike’s sculpted fuel tank, split-seat setup, tail section, frame, and exhaust look very similar to the faired Hero Karizma XMR. But being a naked bike, it misses out on the clip-on handlebar, the full fairing on the sides and the visor. It has a different headlight.
We expect the upcoming Xtreme 210R to feature the same 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Karizma XMR that produces a peak output of 25.5PS at 9,250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7,250rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch as standard. This peaky motor will suit the characteristics of the streetfighter and is expected to work nicely on the naked Xtreme 210R.
We expect it to have a 210cc engine as it doesn’t make sense for Hero to keep making new engines when they already have a good 210cc engine. So, it makes more sense for the manufacturer to work around the 210cc and 440cc engines that they already have. Moreover, the Hero is working on a 210cc Xpulse as well.
The upcoming Hero Xtreme 210R is likely to be unveiled at the EICMA 2024, in Milan, Italy. It may be launched in India sometime in 2025. Hero may price the Xtreme 210R at around 1.6-1.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Once launched, it will compete against the other 200-250cc naked bikes in the market including, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, KTM Duke 200, Bajaj Pulsar N250, and even the Suzuki Gixxer 250. The bike was also spied testing earlier along with the Hero Xpulse 210. It was in camouflage wrap but seemed to have a similar design as the patented bike.
