Hero Electric has announced a couple of offers for the Flash e-scooter. The lead-acid powered scooter now gets a massive discount of Rs 7,090, which effectively lowers its price tag to just Rs 29,990 (Pan India) and Rs 32,710 (North East India). The brand is also offering Paytm benefits of up to Rs 10,500 on its entire range of lithium-ion powered e-scooters as well as the Flash lead-acid variant.

The aforementioned discounts would hopefully push sales and get more customers on board with electric scooters. The entire two-wheeler industry along with the electric sector witnessed a downturn in terms of sales last year. Manufacturers who offered low-speed electric scooters suffered low sales since their scooters did not comply with FAME-II subsidy norms. The lower than average sales has forced Hero Electric to postpone its Rs 700 crore investment plans by a year.
