The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has always lived up to the expectations of its buyers by delivering fuel-efficient and reliable vehicles. A solid proof of this is that Hero has reported a sales figure of one million in a single financial year for its 100cc commuter HF Deluxe. It is the third Hero bike to achieve this milestone after Splendor and Passion. Going by the numbers, Hero MotoCorp Splendor showed a whopping sale of 2.5 million units while Hero MotoCorp Passion for 1.5 million units.
"HF Deluxe has remained the most popular entry-level bike in the country for a long time and it is no surprise that it has clocked over a million units in both dispatch and retail sales this year. Every second bike sold in this segment is now an HF Deluxe, with its market share in excess of as much as 70% in states such as Odisha and Chhattisgarh”, said an official of the company.
According to the data available with Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the bike registered a five percent growth and showed a total sale of 10.93 lakh units in the last financial year. Talking about total volume, Hero MotoCorp sold more than 60 million units in cumulative sales in FY-2015.
Hero HF Dawn is powered by a 97.2cc, four-stroke, air-cooled engine that churns out 8.2bhp of power and 8.05Nm of torque and uses a four-speed constant mesh gearbox. The bike comes with an easy electric start and has a stylish front & rear end. As an optional feature, the bike is equipped with alloy wheels as well. Priced at Rs. 43,000 to Rs. 45,150 (ex-showroom price, New Delhi), Hero HF Deluxe is one of the most trustworthy commuter motorcycles of the country.
