Royal Enfield has unveiled the Goan Classic 350 in India and boy-oh-boy the bike looks stunning! The Goan Classic 350 will be available in four colours: Rave Red, Shack Black, Trip Teal and Purple Haze.
What’s New?
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 gets many changes over the Classic 350. The major and the most noticeable change is the new set of handlebars, an ape-style unit. The bike also gets a new exhaust, a floating seat, tubeless spoke wheels and white-walled tyres which really elevate the classic appeal of the motorcycle. The Goan Classic 350 gets a 16-inch rear tyre as compared to the 18-inch on the Classic which adds to the bobber stance. The rear wheel travel has also increased when compared to the Classic 350 which is now 105mm (90mm on the Classic 350). The seat height has been reduced to 750mm, while the kerb weight has gone up to 197kg.
What’s Unchanged?
The bike remains mechanically unchanged and is continued to be powered by a 349cc single-cylinder air & oil-cooled engine which makes 20PS at 6,100rpm and 27Nm at 4,000rpm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is constructed on a double-cradle chassis and is equipped with a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. The brakes consist of a 300mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the rear mounted on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels. The ground clearance of the Goan Classic 350 is 170mm, seat height is 750mm, and the kerb weight has increased to 197kg. The fuel tank capacity remains unchanged at 13 litres.
In terms of features, the bike gets LED lights all-round, dual-channel ABS, a small LCD screen which shows the odometer and fuel gauge, and adjustable brake and clutch levers.
Price and Competitors
Royal Enfield has not yet disclosed the price of the Goan Classic 350 but we think it will command a premium over the Classic 350 and will be priced around Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The official prices will be announced on the 23rd of November. When launched, it will go against the likes of Jawa 42 Bobber and the Perak.
