Hero Honda to set up new plant in Himachal

The country's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Honda intends to set up a two-wheeler manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh. The company is going to expend Rs. 2,000 crore, official said. Hero Honda has already been established two production plants such as Gurgoan in Harayana and Hirdwar in Uttarakhand. This new plant will be the company's third 2wheeler manufacturing unit in India. Hero Honda is also planning to set up support units along with the main unit on more than 400 acres. Now turn to finalise the site," The company have identified three or four sites and now its going to finalise the site by the company, Industries Commissioner Manoj Kumar added. The company officials are visiting the sites in state for the best suited location. The company has shown keen interest in setting up its 2wheeler production unit in Sirmaur district. Hero Honda is ready to commission its third unit in Sirmaur as near its Haridwr facility and under Uttarakhand borders too. Himachal Pradesh has already accommodated 38 industrial area and 15 industrial estates. According to him, Hero Honda motor company has offered to give an opportunity to 10,000 people as employees in the new facility. On the other hand, BMW has made a mind to introduce a new sports bike, BMW K1300s soon in India. TVS Jive has recently launched in the Chandigarh as well.
