Hero Hondas net profit increased

Hero Honda, the market leader in two-wheeler segment, announced its second quarter results in a filing to BSE. As per its filing, the company registered a growth of 95 per cent for the second quarter ended September 30, 2009. The net profit posted is Rs 597.14 crore as against Rs 306.30 crore in the same month last year. Apart from this, Total income of Hero Honda increased to Rs 4,128.15 crore during the second quarter (July-September) from Rs 3,255.93 crore in the same period the previous year. On the contrary, the shares of the company closed down 2.90 per cent over previous close on the BSE at Rs 1,612.90.
