- The adventure motorcycle lost a bit of ferocity by becoming greener.
- Prices of the XPulse 200 BS6 are yet to be announced.
Hero MotoCorp has designed four new seat cover choices for its adventure motorcycle, the XPulse 200. Hero has been offering a variety of seat covers, all pretty economical, for all of its models for some time now. The special bit about these XPulse ones is that they are quite distinct and purposeful.
If you want something to aid your adventures, there’s the ‘Modern’ seat cover which gets this high abrasion seat top. For the tourers, a luxurious leather seat cover is also available. There are two quilted options, a fabric and a leather one, which are more suited for urban usage.
Hero has also introduced a new XPulse branded motocross helmet. It looks like Hero has partnered up with one of the Indian helmet manufacturers to create it and so it should be reasonably priced. Also, the Xpulse 200’s rally kit is finally available for an introductory price of just Rs 38,000. To know more details on the XPulse 200 rally kit, check out this story.
The XPulse 200 got its BS6 updates quite a while back. The 199.6cc single-cylinder engine now arrives as a fuel-injected variant only. Hero had to compromise slightly on the performance front to make sure that the engine is kinder to mother earth. As a result, it now generates 18.08PS and 16.45Nm, 0.32PS and 0.65Nm lower than before.
It has gained 3 kilos in the BS6 transition, now tipping the scales at 157kg. The rest of the motorcycle remains the same. Expect Hero to announce the prices of the XPulse 200 BS6, as well as the XPulse 200T and Xtreme 200S, shortly.
