It will be Hero’s flagship bike, at least until the 400s come into the picture

Hero has officially teased the return of the legendary Karizma, and the anticipation for the comeback is really high. The upcoming Karizma XMR 210 will flaunt a bunch of firsts for the bikemaker, and based on those aspects here’s what we think it will be priced at:
The OG Karizma was the flagship model for the Jaipur-based brand, and the new bike will fill in the same shoes, at least until the bigger Hero XPulse 400 enters the picture.
We have already spoken about the design of the bike at length, and you can check out what we think about its sharp styling here. Apart from that, the highlight of the bike will be its liquid-cooled 210cc motor and trellis frame, both of which will be a first on any Hero bike.
It can also be expected to get a large TFT console, possibly with smartphone connectivity. So all these premium components, along with a full fairing, should result in a premium price tag too. However, Hero has taken some cost-cutting measures, too. For example, the bike gets a telescopic fork instead of an inverted unit, a box-section swingarm instead of an aluminium one and a single-piece frame (instead of one with a bolt-on subframe). This, however, ensures that the bike, despite being premium and sporty, is still pretty accessible.

Now, the air-/oil-cooled engine-equipped Hero XPulse 200 4V, and the recently launched Hero Xtreme 200S 4V cost Rs 1,44,776 and Rs 1,141,250 (ex-showroom, respectively). So it only makes sense for Hero’s flagship offering to command a Rs 30,000 premium over its air-cooled siblings, taking into account the kind of powertrain, chassis and underpinnings it gets.
That would peg the upcoming Karizma at around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom) putting it in the same ballpark as its primary rival Bajaj RS200, which retails at Rs 1.81 lakh (ex-showroom).
Though the Karizma XMR 210 will be the most expensive Hero Bike, it will still undercut rivals like the KTM RC 200 and Yamaha R15 V4. And finally, its flagship bike status will ensure that the faired bike will be sold in Hero’s premium dealerships, alongside the Harley-Davidson X440 and Hero Vida V1 e-scooter.
