Hero Mavrick 440 Spied Again

The upcoming bike from Hero MotoCorp, based on the Harley-Davidson X440, has been spotted again ahead of its launch. The manufacturer has confirmed on their social media channels that the bike will be named 'Mavrick' and revealed its launch date to be January 23, 2024.

Covered in camouflage all around, the Mavrick has been spotted with a pillion on board. The test bike features a round headlight, similar to the Xpulse 200 4V. The sporty fuel tank extensions remind us of the Xtreme 200R. The test bike also gets round rear-view mirrors like the Harley X440. The Mavrick was spotted with a spacious single-piece seat and an easy-to-reach handlebar, providing an upright riding posture with a slight forward lean. It gets a single-piece grabrail, whereas the X440 gets a split grabrail.

The tail section of the bike has been tweaked too. The taillight is now integrated under the seat. It has a skinnier rear fender, a longer license plate and a different exhaust than the Harley X440. The spied Mavrick has a telescopic fork and traditional twin rear shocks, different from Harley’s inverted fork and gas-filled twin rear shock absorbers. It has a massive saree guard on the left. The spied test bike featured the same machined alloy wheels and brakes as the X440, though they may look distorted in the pictures because of framing and motion.

Hero Mavrick 440 Launch Date

Other details of the Mavrick are the same as when it was spotted earlier. You can take a look at the images and our analysis here.

We expect the Hero Mavrick to be priced competitively at around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming 440cc Hero bike will compete against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda H'ness CB350.
