A couple of days back, Hero MotoCorp announced to launch 15 new products within 6 months and confirmed the launch of a new more powerful Karizma ZMR. Yesterday we brought you a click of the upcoming 2014 Karizma ZMR, and just after that images started coming out of the new line up of the company. The bikes uncovered till now are Hero MotoCorp Karizma R, Karizma ZMR and Extreme. As the new products are coming out of covers, strategy of the company is looking aggressive to defend its numero uno position from the other manufacturers. Let's take a look on the bikes for 2014.
First starting with the Legendary Karizma R, some designs are meant to get outdated never and Karizmar R is one of them. However, the new model of the bike is looking much different than the existing one. The bike has received a full cosmetic change including the head-lamp, tail-lamp, fairing, cowls, seat, chain cover, rear grab-rail and handlebars. While the fuel tank, wheels, suspensions, and brake-disk remains unchanged. The engine is also looking like 223cc engine which delivers 17bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 18.35Nm. However, the company might increase the performance of the new bike with the help of their technology partner Erik Buell Racing, and the new bike is expected to deliver around 20bhp.
2014 Karizma ZMR looks to have inspired by a full size racing machine. Cosmetic changes on the bike can be seen easily and the things which are not changed in the R variant, remains similar in ZMR variant also.
Changes in the design are also similar to the R variant of 2014 except the front fairing of the bike. As the bike is a full faired variant, we can't see the engine properly. However, as per the company announced earlier, it will be more powerful than the existing. The new 250cc engine developed with new partners EBR is supposed to be used with the new bike, which is expected to churn out a maximum power of 25 PS along with a peak torque value of 23Nm.
Now the 2014 Xtreme is looking like a facelifted version of the existing model. The cosmetic changes have been done in the front fairing of the bike. Visor and headlamp shape has been altered and two standard tiny blinkers replaced the fairing integrated front blinkers. The regular sticker type monogram of the Xtreme on the fuel tank has been made 3D metallic. Other dimensions of the bike are unchanged.
This is all what we have for now, stay tuned to BikeDekho for more updates on same.
