Hero MotoCorp, world's largest bike manufacturer by volume, is gearing up to reach new segments along with exploring its portfolio in existing ones. As we already reported that the iconic brand has associated with Erik Buell Racing for technical support, is now planning to launch an all new 250cc bike. Some News agencies reported that Hero is planning to showcase this new bike at 2014 Auto Expo, which is India's most prestigious stage for all automobile activities. This new bike will compete with its ex-partners falgship bike Honda CBR250R and others including Kawasaki Ninja 250R and KTM Duke 200.
Mr. Pawan Munjal of Hero MotoCorp is monitoring the project himself, reported the News agency. Both Hero MotoCorp and Erik Buell Racing R&D are working hard on this project and the bike will have cutting edge technology. The bike will have a single cylinder 250cc engine unlike its closest competition the CBR250R to keep the prices affordable. Hero is planning to sell this bike in International markets as well. We are very exciting about this product as it will be one of the first Hero bikes without Honda's technology. We have no doubts that Hero can do wonders and Hero's brand name will also help them to get initial buyers. Best of luck Hero MotoCorp, we are eagerly waiting for the 250cc Hero.
