Hero MotoCorp Aims to Increase Market Share in Scooter Segment

After crossing the 1 million sales mark in the festive season, Hero MotoCorp is aiming to increase its market share in the scooter segment from 14% to 20%. With the arrival of Duet, the company is expecting a growth in sales. Duet adds to the current scooter lineup of Hero that includes Pleasure, Maestro and Maestro Edge. Currently, the manufacturer produces around 6.5 lac scooters annually from a total production capacity of 1.3 million units. The recently launched Duet and Maestro Edge are the first products by the company that are powered by its in-house developed engine. Duet is priced at Rs. 49,200 for LX trim and Rs. 50,700 for the VX variant (Both prices ex-showroom, Pune).

Talking about the latest scooters by Hero MotoCorp, Mr. Ashok Bhasin, Head – Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Hero MotoCorp, said, “Being the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, we are well attuned to the needs and preferences of our customers.
