Hero MotoCorp HX250R might be launched this year, imported from USA for testing

The leading Indian two wheeler manufacturer- Hero MotoCorp might launch its supersport styled HX250R this year. According to an Indian import/export data provider website, the company has imported 2 units of 250cc motorcycle with ABS from USA recently. The only 250 model, which has been unveiled by the company is the HX250R and the purpose of importation has been mentioned as testing.

It hints that the company will start testing Hero MotoCorp HX250R for the Indian conditions anytime soon. The bike has been developed with company’s technology partners, Erik Buell Racing (EBR) and Engines Engineering and it will be the flagship hero motorcycle when launched.

Propelling the Hero HX250R is the most powerful quarter-lire, single-cylinder engine, which has been claimed to deliver 31bhp of maximum power. The liquid-cooled motor has been mated to a six-speed transmission and uses electronic fuel injection system.

The HX250R runs on 17” lightweight alloys with 110/80 section front and 140/70 section rear tubeless tyre. It has front telescopic suspensions and a 5-step-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. To control the motorcycle, a 300mm and a 220mm disc brake has been provided at the front and the rear respectively. Antilock Braking System (ABS) will be the standard feature with the motorcycle and it is expected to be priced between Rs. 1.3-1.5 lac.
