Erik Buell Racing is the new technology partner for Hero MotoCorp. Hero MotoCorp was looking for a good technology support partner as the partnership with Honda will elapse in 2014. Erik Buell Racing will be providing their designs to Hero MotoCorp for developing future model bikes. With the aid of new partnership Hero MotoCorp will make its debut at AMA Pro Racing National Guard Super bikes Championship and will be the proud sponsors of team Hero and also AMSOIL Hero. Hero and AMSOIL Hero teams will be given Erik Buell Racing bikes. Both the teams will be getting 1190RS model bikes from Erik Buell Racing. 1190RS is a flagship bike of Erik Buell Racing, and this company will be manufacturing only 100 units of 1190RS model bikes.
1190RS has a strong body and it is light weighted bike developed using carbon edition package. Hero MotoCorp developed new model scooter in collaboration with Erik Buell Racing. According to the experts, Hero MotoCorp have made a smart move by joining hands with Erik Buell Racing. Erik Buell Racing is a subsidiary company of Harley Davidson. Erik Buell Racing which was initially started by Erik Buell, a former employee of Harley Davidson company. Later Harley Davidson took over Erik Buell company and now they are producing only one race version sports bike. Later they are planning to launch more models in race, road, and adventure versions. Indian roads also might witness few scorchers in near future.
Buell 1125RS is a 1190-cc engine with V-twin engine producing 175hp. Buell 1125RS uses mass centralization for an even weight distribution. Buell 1125RS does not require any lubrication as it is fitted with drive belt. Hero MotoCorp officials said that they will having their own research and development center. Hero MotoCorp engineers have already started developing their new models along with Erik Buell Racing engineers. Erik Buell Racing and Hero MotoCorp partnership might result in development of 250 cc and above capacity bikes from Hero MotoCorp in the near future.
