Hero MotoCorp to Start a New R&D Facility in Jaipur

At the launch of Hero MotoCorp Maestro Edge and Duet, the company announced that their new Centre of Global Innovation and Research & Design (R&D) situated at Kukas, Jaipur, Rajasthan will be functional soon. The already functioning R&D centres at Gurgaon and Dharuhera will also be shifted to Jaipur. The construction work for this new R&D facility started in September 2013 and the company has invested a massive Rs. 450 Crore in it. Presently, Hero MotoCorp has four R&D centres in the country which are located at Haridwar, Neemrana, Gurgaon and Dharuhera. Apart from Jaipur, they are setting up another manufacturing unit at Halol, Gujarat which has been under construction since last year. These new facilities are part of the expansion strategy of the company to set up manufacturing units in more than 20 continents by 2020.
