Hero MotorCorp to Launch Dash in Colombia

Hero MotoCorp has opened a new manufacturing plant in Colombia following the heavy demand of the two wheelers in the region. Hero is the largest motorcycle company of Indian automobile industry which is now spreading its wings in the global market.
The Indian manufacturer unveiled the Dash scooter first time at the 2014 Auto Expo Delhi and is now headed towards Colombia to mark its footsteps in the global market. The 110cc scooter Dash is powered by an air-cooled, four stroke engine which produces a maximum power of 8.4 bhp along with torque measured at 9.4Nm.

If we talk about design, Hero Dash will carry LED tail light with side stand indicator and USB mobile charger. Based on the design of Maestro, Dash gets a whole new look with its redesigned body panels. Also, the telescopic fork and and alloy wheels gives it a real time balancing power. 130mm drum brakes are fixed on both front and rear side to avoid extreme situations.
If reports are to be believed, the Hero Dash would be known as Maestro Edge in the Indian market as Dash is the name given for the global market. The company will come up with Maestro Edge (Dash) by the end of this month right before the start of festival season. Three color schemes would be available of the awaited scooter viz. White, Black and Red. The main competitors of the scooter in the Indian market will be Honda Activa 3G, Yamaha Alpha and TVS Wego. Maestro Edge (Dash) will release an average of 68 kmpl which is quite fuel efficient.
