- Hero recently updated its HF Deluxe range with CBS.
- However, the ECO did not receive the mandatory safety mandate.
- The standard HF Deluxe continues to be priced at Rs 39,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Hero HF Deluxe Eco has been taken off the company’s official website, hinting at a possible discontinuation. This doesn’t come as a surprise considering the motorcycle wasn’t updated with CBS post the April 2019 deadline. Surprisingly, the standard HF Deluxe did receive the safety net of CBS with revised pricing of Rs 39,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).

The HF Deluxe ECO shares its mechanicals and underpinnings with the standard HF Deluxe, separated from the latter only by its unique white/green paint scheme. Powering it was still the same 97.2cc air-cooled engine which makes 8.3PS at 8000rpm and 8.05Nm at 5000rpm, working alongside a 4-speed transmission.
Suspension duties here were handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin rear shock absorbers with 2-step adjustable preload. Meanwhile, braking hardware consisted of drum brakes on both ends.

The HF Deluxe is one of the many mass-selling products in Hero’s lineup. However, its ECO variant never received the same level of popularity due to its high asking price. When it was on sale, the ECO was over Rs 9,000 more expensive than the standard model. We don’t think Hero will be bringing the motorcycle back anytime soon.
