Hero Splendor iSmart launch on 29th January

India's leading two wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch its most advanced commuter Splendor iSmart on 29th January 2014. The bike is a tecnically and cosmetically upgraded version of the existing stylish next gen variant of India's most popular commuter- Splendor NXG.

Hero Splendor iSmart shares the similar 97.2cc, single cylinder, aircooled engine, which powers the whole Splendor and Passion series except the Passion Xpro and Super Splendor. However, it gets a revolutionary i3S technology, which will help you in saving upto 15% fuel consumed in city commuting. It is an advanced engine start stop technique, which automatically immobilizes your engine when the vehicle is in stand still position for a while and starts it again when you turns the accelerator. The bike also gets a new 5-speed gearbox, which further helps to get better mileage.

Cosmetic updates of the bike includes a revised paint scheme and a newly designed rear grab rail, however the silhouette of the bike remains similar to the Splendor NXG. The bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 2000 higher than the price of the current model, which makes it a value for money product.
